The accreditation process is a formal, multi-stage evaluation where an external body assesses an organization's compliance with established safety, quality, or academic standards. It typically involves a self-assessment, document review, on-site peer review/visit, and final decision-making, aiming to ensure continuous improvement and credibility.

Stages of the Accreditation Process

 Higher Education Improvement Commission

Eligibility and Application:

The institution confirms it meets baseline requirements and submits an application, involving a fee of $500 USD for accreditation

Self-Assessment/Self-Study:

The institution conducts a rigorous internal review, preparing a report on how they meet standards.

Document Review:

The HEIC reviews the submitted self-study and documentation.

On-Site Visit/Peer Review:

A team of independent experts visits the site (or conducts a remote inspection) to verify compliance, interview staff/students, and inspect facilities.

Decision and Final Report:

The accreditation panel reviews the findings and makes a final decision on accreditation.

Continuous Monitoring/Reaccreditation:

Accredited institutions undergo periodic reviews (every 2 years) to maintain their status.
